Burglary: 30 units of Ultimaker 2 3D printers were stolen in Netherlands

Two days ago Ultimaker team announced not very good news, 30 Ultimaker 3D printers were stolen from the company warehouse in Netherlands. Ultimaker addressed to all people to help them to locate these units and asked to keep their eyes open for any suspicious sales of Ultimaker 2.

They also provided an example of serial numbers assigned to the units: UM2A07 – MES133755. The maker community has reached out to Ultimaker, and the company expressed appreciation for the support on their forum. They hope that combined effort of the police and all people who partial to this burglary will help to find all units soon and thieves will be revealed. But they also urged people not to try identifying the thieves themselves and contact the police in case they find something.
