Thanks to PetPrints 3D animal lovers can get 3D printed models of their pets
Pet lovers have a new opportunity to immortalize their lovely pets thanks to 3D printing. Artists from PetPrints 3D have introduced a new 3D printing activity to develop 3D printed full-color 3D printed copies of your favorite cats, dogs, horses or iguanas. The service is available during all the holiday time.
Brand manager of the PetPrints 3D Ashley Saunders said that as all of them love animals, technology and exclusive art items, they decided to combine it all and start a new work-shop selling gifts for friends. And when they started receiving calls and emails from all over the world, they realized they had started something peculiar.
What makes PetPrints 3D so special is the 3D model. It’s not about going to some shop and buying a statuette of a terrier. It’s about creating the exact replica of your own dog and imitating the way it sits and all the details of her body. Their aim is to make people catch the momentary impression of what they see.
The process consists in the following: upload the photos and descriptions of your pet to the PetPrints 3D website, it may be either passed away or living. Graphic artists with the special software will try to develop the perfect possible model of your pet. They will send the design file to the 3D printer, and the sculpture will be formed from a gypsum-like material layer by layer to make the exclusive sculpture. When this stage is over, designers will finish the replica adding the necessary details to the model.
The order is to be placed online at PetPrints 3D and the models will be shipped for you or you’re welcome to get them in Toronto’s west end. The price of an item is determined by complexity and size of the pet-models. The simple models like a 4-ich-tall dog will begin with $250 plus tax.
Horse models about 7,5 inch tall or more will cost from $750 and tax. Using a 3D printer to create lovely creatures is a nice breakthrough in the industry of 3D printing. They recreate pieces which mean a lot to people. All the customers who get statuettes of their pets are very grateful to the scientists for having their animals with them forever.
