We live in a fast-moving and complicated world, where things need to be done as soon as possible. 3D printing is a suitable technology to satisfy such a need. Nowadays there is a wide variety of printers available, but if you are looking for a machine that is affordable, works quickly and produces high-quality prints, Adam+ is the most suitable for you. Adam+ is a new version of Adam – a 3D printer produced by Northype. After their first printer was a success, the company decided to launch a new one.

The new printer possesses nearly the same characteristics. However, unlike its forerunner, its size is a bit bigger – 300 x 300 x H 470 mm. In fact, Adam+, like Adam, is not just a 3D printer – it is a machine that combines a 3D printer, scanner, mill machine and laser/engraver.

Laser module allows cutting cardboard and paper, plywood, leather and MDF easily. It has been designed to be user-friendly.

The milling headtool has been added to let users make milling or engraving. Previously it was not possible to do that with additive technology.

3D scanner is very easy to operate. You can scan real objects with it to acquire 3D models.

Adam+ is an optimized version of Adam. Its nozzle is 0.4mm, and users can apply 1.75mm filament. The printer has a heated plate, so you can use common PLA filament or some special kind of material like nylon or something else. Adam+ has a filament filter, which helps prevent unexpected nozzle occlusions. The printer is also equipped with closed hot chamber, which maintains the necessary temperature inside.

Northype started an Adam+ campaign on Kickstarter a few weeks ago. In fact you can get Adam+ with 1 kilo of PLA filament at 1400 Euros on Kickstarter. If you’re interested in getting the first version of the machine (Adam), Kickstarter prices start from 899 Euros (5 kilos of PLA included). All the news concerning tests and production will appear on Kickstarter or users will get it via e-mail. The team will also be glad to answer all the questions that may arise.
